Minnesotan Won Powerball Jackpot Worth $228.9 Million

One lucky Minnesotan purchased the Powerball numbers that won the $228.9 million jackpot. It is considered as the largest payout in the state’s history of the lottery. All the numbers in the ticket matched the jackpot that was drawn on August 10 of this year and these are 11-18-36-41-46 and 38, the Powerball. According to lottery officials, the odds of winning the jackpot was placed at 1 in 195.2 million. The winner will have a choice of taking the jackpot as a lump-sum cash payment or in 30 payments done annually for 29 years. The cash option for this jackpot is $124 million and taxes will be applied.
